AUI won Excellence in Construction Awards for Watuppa Springs Retail Development and Barton Chapel Wind Farm.

The 2008 Excellence in Construction Awards ceremony was hosted by ABC of North Texas at the Belo Mansion in Dallas.

AUI's 2008 Company Picnic was a big hit! Hosted by NRH2O for the second year in a row, AUI employees enjoyed the Saturday afternoon by eating hamburgers and hot dogs, cruising the lazy river, and sliding down rides of all shapes and sizes.

AUI’s Annual 2007 Special Olympics Golf Tournament was recently held and a great success. AUI donated over $4000.00 to the Trail Foundation with Rocky Top Therapy Center in Keller to help underwrite Regional and State Special Olympics. An additional $3500 was sent to Special Olympics Texas, Inc., to help support the Greater Fort Worth area.

Participants, thanks to AUI vendors and suppliers, won Putters, Drivers, Fairway Woods, Gift Cards, Golf Bags, Golf Balls and rounds of gold to area golf courses. In addition, a raffle was held for a 60” Plasma TV.

The following teams were the top 3 out of a successful turnout of 35 teams.
Congratulations to all winners and thank you to all that participated and donated towards this special event.

AUI proudly hosted the ABC of North Texas' Governmental Affairs Breakfast, with speaker Congressman Joe Barton. Congressman Barton spoke about the ever-increasing issues with global warming.

AUI was present to win the prestigious Quoin Award for the Natgun Southwest Headquarters for projects totalling $10 million.

AUI won the prestigious Safety Excellence Award for 300,001 - 700,000 man hours in the Municipal Division.

AUI won the prestigious Summit Award for its work on the new Natgun Southwest Headquarters.

AUI demonstrated its support for the National Association for Women in Construction at a June 21, 2006, association event. Pictured below from left are AUI employees Marsha Akins, Jennifer Collins, Elizabeth York, Priscilla Gutierrez, and Yvonne Hall.

The National Association of Women in Construction’s Fort Worth Chapter held its annual industry Appreciation dinner May 18 at Rivercrest Country Club in Fort Worth.

During the program the group awarded Doug Alumbaugh of AUI Contractors with “Employer of the Year”.
